A new climbing centre and an equally new circular trail in and around the Kleefeld Guesthouse estate await the skilled climber and the leisurely stroller alike.

Directons: Coming from Strobl heading for the Postalm, follow the access road at the beginning of the valley to Gasthof Kleefeld, where there is ample parking (approx. 2km from Strobl village centre).

The climbing centre has 24 different routes, all between 15 and 20 metres high and with a grade of difficulty between III and VI.  It is especially suited for families, groups of children and for climbing courses.

To the right there are 2 further climbing tracks - a 70 metre-long practice route (difficulty C) and an easy 100 metre-long uphill track (A), which can be used as a descent.  The circular trail begins at Kleefeld Guesthouse, leads via the easy uphill track to a lovely vantage point and returns on a wide and flat trail to the starting point – taking about an hour.  Now, there’s only one thing left to do… pull on the hiking boots or put on the climbing gear and off you go!

  • Access: from the car park at Kleefeld Guesthouse go through the game enclosures and follow the forest road in the direction of Sparber Mountain.  After approx. 300 metres on the right, follow the sign-posted forest track to the foot of the wall – taking about 15 minutes.

  • Facing direction: south east

  • Number of routes: 24

  • Length of routes: 10-20 metres maximum

  • Safety: security fixings at regular intervals (heavy duty anchor with permanent FIXE carabiners

  • Special features: especially suited to families, beginners, those returning to climbing, and courses.  Right next to the climbing wall, there is a new practice climbing trail, difficulty C, approx. 60 metres long, a further secured climbing route, difficulty A, approximately 100 metres long, and a circular trail with wonderful vantage points.  For non-climbers there is a wildlife park, beer garden, children’s play area….
